This is the largest glass in the Epernay range, built around a wide, voluminous balloon bowl engineered to balance the intense fruit and subtle oak character found in high-end, aged reds. That shape allows full oxygenation while directing wine towards the back of the mouth, softening acidity as it's tasted. SON.hyx construction, a titanium-reinforced stem and an ultra-fine rim carry the same technical build found throughout the range. Capacity reaches 660ml, with logo space beneath the bowl.
Tasting Notes: This glass's highly specialised balloon profile is engineered to balance the intense fruit and subtle oak characteristics found in high-end, aged red wines, giving them a wide, voluminous bowl to fully oxygenate in. That same shape directs the wine towards the back of the mouth as it's tasted, softening perceived acidity. The shape is explicitly calibrated for bold, complex varietals that need expansive breathing space, including aged Burgundy and Pinot Noir, Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo, Rioja Reserva and Gran Reserva, and aged Cabernet Sauvignon or Bordeaux blends.
