That's the reactive glaze doing its job, reacting to heat during firing in a way that can't be fully controlled, so what comes out is closer to studio pottery than a factory run. The cup's wide, shallow bowl suits a short black or a cappuccino rather than a full brew, and it's fully vitrified porcelain underneath the patina, built to survive constant café turnover and safe for the microwave. Logos go on by pad print, and since that decoration isn't dishwasher tolerant, hand washing keeps the branding looking sharp even though the porcelain body itself is commercial grade.
Reactive Glaze Variance. The glaze on each Rosalba Porcelain Cup reacts individually during firing, so colour hue, patina pattern and finish will vary slightly from cup to cup. This is a natural feature of the production process, not a defect, and gives every piece its own one-off character.
