Promotional Product Ideas That Attract Clients To Trade Show Booths

You’ve got a booth booked for an important trade show, but now you are wondering how to attract people to your booth. This is where the right custom branded promotional item can help. We’ve compiled a list of the essential things you need to consider to get the right product.

Firstly you want to set a budget. How much do you want to spend? You have probably already spent quite a lot of money on the actual booth to display your company or products, plus the actual hire costs. So, what sort of budget can you afford to purchase your promotional items?

Once you have your budget set you then need to consider the type of people who will be visiting the trades show and what sort of volume of goods you’ll need. For example, if you are doing a high volume retail trade show, you’ll want a low cost item, compared to a more upmarket B2B trade show. Let’s start with the high volume retail show. Small little giveaways that can bring people to your booth are things like confectionery – single mint packs or small packs of jelly beans or similar products. A plastic pen can cost less than $0.40 each with a branding, but everyone likes a pen, and they will not only attract people, it gives them a lasting memory.

Next is if you want to get interactive. If your show has children attending, simple things like spinning tops or fidget spinners are a big attraction for kids and when kids come, parents follow. You could also consider having a little competition. Maybe a plastic darts board or a spinning wheel for people to try and win nominal costing prizes.

If your booth is tailored to more B2B and high-end clients, maybe send an email blast beforehand offering anyone who attends your booth a free gift. Something IT such as a charger or power bank is always popular and syncs well with the upmarket appeal.

The goal at the end of the day is to get as much foot traffic to your booth as possible. There are also great ideas, such as a treasure chest with a padlock to open. Send out keys to all attendees and tell them to come by and try their luck opening the treasure chest. An email to all recipients with a special code telling them there is a free gift for all visitors.

There are lots of options for bringing people to your booth and being in the business for over 18 years. We have a wealth of experience on what works, so if you are stuck for ideas, just give us a call or send us an email and we’d be happy to help.
